ok kelly sent me this link on youtube. its a video of a pair of twins who recorded their singing and they are totally awesome. i think for this song they sang a lot better than tamia. enjoy!
 

 the sky darkens at around 5pm now. i do not like it. it makes me feel upset at times, even though there is no apparent reason. it feels like light drained from my life. and then i feel lost. and the worst of it all, i feel like sleeping all the time. i slept before dinner, slept before lunch, slept in class, slept on the armchair, slept unknowingly, slept my life away. and i need some motivation to pick up the notes. ahhh esther lau tian qin you are so screwed. you are so shitty.

haha anyways, we had a party on friday!! tingwei and kelly organised it and invited the block 30 ppl, as well as chunhuat, anthony, chongbeng, shafeeq and kamal. the girls were supposed to go down first while tingwei and kelly and fel dolled us up, but ended up only tingwei and fel cos kelly still not done haha..and ting put fake eyelashes for me! whoa, its my first time, and its so gao-ei. but its really nice. hee when photos are here i shall upload. makes my eyes look super big. and i was the photographer of the day, while i fumbledard with the super big dslr, that got my fingers all cramped up. after the dancing and stuff, they started to play finger guessing so i thought i would join in. haha i think i am damn pro lor, cos the person to the left of the winner must drink. and i got cavemen drinking quite a lot i guess. *victory sign*


yup and after that we had a k session haha blasted music on the speakers and played youtube mtvs while we sang to our heart's content! hahah i still thought nobody cld hear cos it was quite late alr, but to my dismay i found out that my frens on the 3rd floor could hear me sing =S and i was super loud and probably off key. haha.

that was the happening night, and i thought i could sleep in the next day. but i was woken up by neighbour sandars' screeches the next morning and opened my eyes to the first snowfall of my life!! haha so pretty can! fatigue washed itself away and xj and i went downstairs to take photos!! video uploaded on fb! pls go and see:

yeah and i went hiking today!! wanted to just go sogsvann to take photos of the scenery, but ended up climbing all the way up to the top of the hill! hee i am so proud of myself, cos i didnt felt tired at all! but i'll see after i wake up tmr. hahha. anyway, thats all for today i guess, will upload photos real soon!! 

 woke up on monday and the weather was fab! well it has been rainy and foggy for many days so i thought i should go out and take a walk. haha and it turned out victorious! (depending on which point of view you look at it from, shiwei definitely doesnt feel the same!) of cos, those who knew me, i went shopping. sandar was in school and 99% of the class was away on holidays, so i thought i should go out and venture around on my own ;)

headed to national theatre by the t-bane and it was fascinating! the weather was fab, i was only in jeans, a tank and a sweater, but i din feel really cold kind. its was a lil chilly but it was overall great weather. the parks around national theatre were fab i cld say, i think it'd be damn pretty at night with all the buildings and lights, and it is def a romantic place to take a stroll with darling when he's here!

okay after several weeks of boring life in oslo, a few happening events took place all at once! haha actually they are not really HAPPENING but then a lot of stuffs are relative..so is this. haha. anyways, we had an excursion! to the maritime museum :D its not really a fun fun trip kinda thing but tianqin was happy cos she got to see a lot of models of different ships! from the sailing ships to vikings to really big and commercialised vessels. it was really an eye opener for me :D here are some shots!

the best surprise that happened to me is you(:

after a tiring day of plucking chicken feathers and removing intestines, tonight's dinner was a more peaceful one. we had mutton again(which had not enough onion i guess and i still can taste e muttony smell on my tongue now), vegetable soup (super yummy!!), potato n tomato hotdogs, lor-neng and rice :D its such a happy day today! though i din do much regarding sch work, i skyped with my family, my darling and had a nice girls talk with my coursemates(who i begin to find are really nice and cute friends that i'll learnt to really treasure and maintain)

what can girls talk be about?

boys, obviously. we talked about boys in our class, boys we met, boys we liked, boys we loved and still love, boys who suck, boys who are disappointing, boys who are really cute and so on(: i was listening to my friends' stories and i was thinking, reminiscing about me and my darling's relationship, and i really feel...


...very loved and happy.

and i guess thats all that a girl wants.

no matter who she is, she deserves to be loved.



just like me! i dont care how others think about our relationship, whether they think we are too clingy, or that i accommodate my boy a lot, or that he is very protective of me,

today has been a long day, 2 lessons today, 2hr 45min each. organising shipowning entity was obviously better, since i understood what the lecturer was talking about, at least we're in shipping language. but it was the 2nd lesson and it was quite tiring for most of us. i just stopped listening after the first break...

or maybe i just wasnt in the mood to listen. its just, feeling the same emotions i felt when i was all alone in H0709, away from all my friends and cut off from my loved ones by the time barrier set by nature. i just thought that friends werent like this. or at least, it shouldnt be like this. apparently i am wrong.

or maybe i was wrong right from the start to think that i was a friend..

its okay, i still have my true friends and i'm glad for that. i'm thankful to my friends who stood with me through my difficult times in a faraway land, who helped wipe my tears when i was homesick, who cooked nice nice food for my hungry hungry tummy, who waited for me no longer how far i lag behind, who yanked me out of bed at 630am for school, who gave me warm jackets when i was cold, who listened to my thoughts and troubles, who hugged me when i needed them, who volunteer to wash my plates for me :DDD

the list is never ending, and i'm grateful for everything. thank you, my friends.

i really miss him.

my head is wrapped in my new towel, the new towel that my grandma insisted that i brought along with me to norway, which i'm glad for heeding her advice. cos my other one literally stinks now, and yup i'm not going to wrap it ard my head any second longer. in fact, the stench on my towel came from my wet hair, which i shampooed twice, but the smell of smoke and barbecued meat lingers.

an hour ago, the now-stench was irresistable mouth-watering aroma. the smoke of grilled chicken, roasted salmon and butter corns was alluring.
 
we left the hostel at 430 pm.

the group of eleven(xuejing cherlyn foongsian weixiang sandar fel mingwang yueting tingwei kelly and me) headed towards sognsvann lake and into the "twilight forest". we walked through the sandy paths where tall pine trees lined up to bid us welcome and happily lugged our bags of hotdogs, corn, salmon, chips, chicken etc etc deeper and deeper into e forest(i think its called a forest) eventually, we found a spot on the hilly rocks overseeing a lake where white-feathered ducks swam carefree and the wind caressed our cheeks with ice cold air.

it was just a barbercue, you could say. but to me, it was great. we were out in the cold, bitten by the icy wind, gathering twigs to start a fire, raising a fire against the never-say-die wind, waiting and waiting for the charcoal to burn, laying the hotdogs one by one on the aluminium foil, sincerely appreciating the aroma of the grilled hotdogs, seeing the grins of our friends eating the food we all craved and yet are deprived of at times, feeling the bond we needed so much, relying on the friendship that we forged, whether a year ago or a week ago.

and then we sang.

and here i am cursing the damned smoke that hurt my eyes till my tears start filling and the smell of the roasted food that is stucked to my hair and the cold that made me numb and retarded, but i'm sure decades down the road, i'll wonder why on earth did i do crazy stuffs like this and smell to myself, glad that i did them.

today is a wonderful day! cuz i'm sitting on my bed using the internet on my dear's lappie and my best roomie xuejing is sitting beside me on her chair using internet on her lappie. the switch worked and we both had our internet connections! we were so elated that we jumped n high fived when we were both still sleepy eyed. HAHA :D

okays i was supposed to blog abt this memorable day that we all shared on monday 17aug2009. haha on that fateful day, we were supposed to have a romantic rendezvous at the sognsvann lake, while we read our books and enjoyed the good weather(it was sunny in the day!) yeah so lil cherlyn came down to our room and we had dinner tog before we went for the romantic date. we were eating happily in the kitchen when sandar came and said that she'll meet us at the lake. so she was like: i lock the door k? den we were like OKAY! i dunno whether its the long-awaited-rice that made us so excited or was it the fish fingers, it was only 20mins later that we realised we actually din bring our keys out.

yup so we finally realised that we were locked out of the room without our jackets, handphones(okay only i had my hp which didnt have sandar's number....) water bottles, books, lappies, everything that we needed for the lake session wasnt with us. but the good thing was, cherlyn still had her room key. so xj and i went up with her and borrowed her coats(i got the nice grey trench with a ribbon behind!) and her roomie was super nice! she made a big bowl of popcorn for us and cherlyn took her cornflakes and we decided to have a picnic at sognsvann while we waited for sandar to rescue us.

when we reached the lake, sandar had finished her run and we all took a place on the platform(sry no pics cos our cameras were locked up, but u can refer to pics from e previous entry :D) and watched step up. we happily ate our popcorns n cornflakes with icing sugar and watched the movie while we laughed, joked and chatted. it was like 30 mins into the movie when we felt raindrops falling on us. and we were like OH-OH! so we started to pack up and sandar was like in fbt shorts and it was like 10degreeC outside and holding a big bowl of popcorn while she led us thru a shortcut back to hostel. so the 4 of us ran back to hostel with the laptops, thermal flasks, cornflakes, popcorns and i bet we were a scene. when we reached our block, we were like shivering with cold and no one cld talk coherently with the clattering teeth. and we took super long to open the doors with our numbed fingers and shivering hands. we were like: what a crazy night. but none of us knew at that pt of time, that this was not all.

so we warmed ourselves up in our rooms and while sandar ate her dinner and bathed, xj n i headed to cherlyn's room to finish up the movie. we were so awed by the tidiness in her room and the lack of food. all our rooms have a shelf with 5 rows, and out of the 5 rows, she cldnt even fill up 1 row of food. while in our rooms, the food took up like 2and a half rows and claimed territory on the desk and fridge and freezer. haha. anw we continued watching step up while cherlyn decided to take a shower. halfway thru our movie and her shower, we heard this bell that sounded like an alarm; loud, intimidating, irritating. and then her roomie told us that it was probably a fire drill and we had to gather downstairs till e alarm was off or smth. and it was freaking raining probably less than 10degreeC outside and i was in shorts and slippers...

and poor cherlyn, halfway thru her shower and in her wet hair, loaned me her sweat pants and coat and the 3 of us headed downstairs, both excited and devastated. i dunno how u can feel that tog at once, but imagine u had just warmed up and now u are out in the cold again, in rain and wind that reached our bodies despite the thick clothings, wondering what really happened and thinking abt which idiot who smoked and set the fire alarm off. and den, we saw lights and fire engines, ambulance and everyone rushed to the front of the building. and i thought asians were KPO. look at the others.

anyway there was no fire and the firemen came for nothing. the next day we heard from a fren that actually there was this couple who played with the fire alarm and it affected a few blocks. if i was the one who saw them i'd definitely report them. its like wad a waste of resources and time and what if there was a real fire somewhere else. such irresponsible juveniles.

yar anyway that was a summary of our eventful day, i'd certainly remember it for life but no, i dont want to experience it again. because day after day, its getting colder and colder and colder. i hope i wont freeze here in winter. 

sry for the lack of updates for the past few days, been going to sch(i did ok! for one day haha :D), buying groceries, visiting oslo attractions that are free of charge, cooking and eating and by the time i could go online, i was too tired to update..haha but here i am, writing my daily life for all my die hard fans out there! :D

okays, ANYWAY, i stayed home on the 8th and chatted with my dearest darling and my family on skype while my friends went to this island with 5 museums. i think i wanna visit them too, maybe when darling can come and visit me here we'll go together. yes we're saving up and we hope he can come!

yup and on the 9th, we watch the NDP online together, me and xuejing. haha and i really said the pledge! hmmm i think its only when you are far away from home and you really miss ur family and friends and everything about home that you really appreciate NDP so much. well at least thats the case for me. usually back home, NDP to me is like a source of entertainment that you watch like once a year, especially the fireworks that i love so much. just like chinese new year movies(he sui pian). but last sunday, it really reminded me of everything back home and i so wanted to be back.

oh well....anyways,

on monday, we spent the whole of our morning waiting at the police station to get our residence permits done. while waiting, i bought 3 books at this bookshop. there was 3 for 2 promotion and i cldnt resist when i saw time travellers wife. the book that i always wanted to read, and i dont mind owning it haha. anyway it was quite a pissed off day for me cos we waited for super duper long. and den i din bring my passport photos and we needed it for the permit.but when we asked the policeman earlier he said we dont need one. ok so i paid another 40nok for 4 passport photos, only to find out that all he did was to scan the pic. i cld have given him my concession pass to scan man! damn pissed. okay the good thing is, the photos were 20nok cheaper than the ones at trafikanten.

mainly slacked/skyped/surfed net for tues and wed. on wed evening, cherlyn xuejing and i went to the sognsvann lake near our hostel. its DAMN pretty can. its a cool and serene place and it reminded me very much of harry potter and the lake outside hogwarts. haha and all the trees here reminded us of twilight.
